February 11-13 – HM Camping Trip

The Troop will be Cabin Camping at Hawk Mountain for the weekend. We will depart from the Troop shed on Friday afternoon (2/11) around 4:30 PM. The Adult leaders will be cooking for the Troop. Scouts should pack for this using a soft duffle or gym bag rather than backpacks to save on space for loading vehicles. The cost of the trip is $25.00.


Scout Sunday -February 6, 2011

Scout Sunday is Sunday, February 6th, 2011. The day will begin with mass at St. Teresa’s Church at 9:00 am. Scouts must be at Lower Church Hall in CLEAN Class A Uniform by 08:30.  Following the mass, we will have our Annual Court of Honor Breakfast at LiGreci’s  Staaten, 697 Forest Avenue beginning at 10:30. All Troop 37 Families, Friends, Scouts past and present are welcome to attend. The cost of the breakfast, remains the same as last year, $25.00 per person regardless of age. All current scouts attending are FREE and will be paid for  by the troop. If you have not paid for your tickets yet please make arrangements with Mrs. Massa.


February 5, 2011 – Klondike Derby

Scouts and Leaders/Adults report to the Camporee Field ( across from JCC) at 8:30 AM  for check-in and registration  in Uniform, Boots (no sneakers) and appropriately dressed (warm coat/jacket, hat, gloves etc.) Dress in layers. Each Scout should bring a bag lunch to be eaten on the trail. Soup and hot chocolate will be provided at the Red Dog Saloon (Camp Master Cabin)  SEE KLONDIKE DERBY WEB SITE for additional information:


Meeting Friday, February 4, 2011

Friday night’s meeting is going to be a shakedown for the Klondike Derby come dressed just as you would for the Klondike derby and bring required items (except lunch). We are also going to customize sleds and attach pull ropes. Please see the Klondike Derby checklist for Patrol required Items and Individual Scout items.


January 28th Meeting

The meeting this week will be at its normal place and time, 7:30 pm in the Lower Church Hall. Scouts are asked to bring their handbooks and other merit badges to the meeting if they haven’t already to enter their information into our Troop Master system.

Please continue to bring your Scout Handbooks to each meeting and wear your full Class A uniform.
