Dear Scouts, Parents and Friends,
The rank of Eagle Scout is one of the most significant achievements that a Boy Scout can achieve during his time as a scout. To become an Eagle Scout, among other things a scout must plan and lead an Eagle Scout Leadership project that includes service to the community and/or a beneficiary. It is with great please to tell you that the time has come for MY Eagle Scout Leadership Project.
The project will both be on Saturday, July 11th, 2015 at Seabee Park Pavilion in Fort Wadsworth (Staten Island, NY 10305). We will be meeting at 8:00 AM at the pavilion at Seabee Park And a short preparation on Friday July 10th at ___(directions will be provided)
My Project consists of refurbishing the Pavilion. The benches and tables have been removed and I will be painting shuffleboard courts and hopscotch activity boards on the pavilion floor. I will also be prepping the site on Friday July 10th by power washing and sweeping off the concrete base and am looking for a small crew to assist then also.
Not only is this a troop activity and a chance to get community service hours for advancement, but it also an opportunity to help the entire community who make use of this beautiful park.
If everything goes according to plan, everything should be done before 12 P.M. For all of those coming, please wear old clothes because there will be painting involved.
Even if you can only attend for a short period of time, I could use the manpower to accomplish this projects. Any help or time you can spare for the project will be greatly appreciated. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Please let me know if you can attend.
Thank you in advance.
