The cost of 2012 Summer Camp is $360, with a $180 deposit due at the March 30th Troop meeting per following letter from our Troop Treasurer:

Dear Scout Parents and Guardians,

Although the calendar says February it is time to start planning for Summer Camp at Hawk Mountain (July 15 – July 21).

The cost of summer camp this year for the week is $360 per scout. As many of you are aware, Troop 37 takes advantage of the Early Bird Discount at Hawk MT. This means that our bill is to be paid in full by June 1st.

Scouts have the opportunity to reduce the cost of summer camp by working at Troop 37 Car Washes. (Check calendar for Dates !!!!). However, since many of the dates are after June 1 st, and we cannot guarantee sunshine for any of the scheduled dates, we will be asking for payment in full in advance. Troop 37 is growing, and we are very likely sending more than 50 scouts to camp this summer. We do not have the funds to outlay that kind of money by June 1st. We will then refund you any cash credits that your sons have earned at the car washes.

Also note that some of the boys may be participating in activities such as (Pathfinders, COPE etc.) which require additional fees. These will be determined once the scouts have registered for their merit badges.

Summer Camp payment schedule is as follows:

Cost = $360 (Early Bird Discount)
1st Payment = $180 due by Mar 30th.
2nd Payment = $180 due by Apr 27th at Mandatory Summer Camp Meeting.

Any car wash credits that your son has will be reimbursed after the final car wash.

Paren(s)/Guardian(s) are strongly urged to attend the subject rank advancement ceremony, as well as any such ceremonies, to help recognize & applaud the dedicated work that our Scouts have accomplished to earn their advancements and achievements.

FYI for New Parent(s)/Guardsian(s): As your Scout earns his first rank advancement, he will also receive a red/white/blue “Mom’s” ribbon, and a pin for each rank thereafter. Your Scout will present this ribbon and each of these pins to you, and attach each to your ribbon. You are encouraged to wear this ribbon at every advancement ceremony to show your support & pride.

When you attend these ceremonies, please take note of the other “Moms” who, in some cases are wearing more than one ribbon for each of their Scouts who have also earned their rank advancements.
