<p dir="ltr">We are meeting at the Troop Shed on Friday at 4:30 PM sharp. Please be aware that<br />
we are tent camping and the temperature can drop significantly at night so be sure to<br />
pack properly, and please bring the following:</p>
<p dir="ltr">[ ] Bring a Sandwich or brown bag something for your Friday night dinner.<br />
[ ] You must bring your own Cup to drink out of.<br />
[ ] Wool or Fleece Hat<br />
[ ] Gloves<br />
[ ] Jacket<br />
[ ] Hiking Boots<br />
[ ] Extra socks<br />
[ ] Money for the Trading Post<br />
[ ] Water Bottle or canteen<br />
[ ]10 Essentials<br />
[ ]Sleeping Bag / foam pad or  air mattress<br />
[ ] Scout Handbook</p>

participating in the activities planned for a camping trip. Please, NO radios, iPods,<br />

<p><b>No Uniforms</b> &#8211; Uniform standards are relaxed this week&#8211;<span style="text-decoration: underline;">so wear your favorite T-Shirt.</span></p>
<p>This week we will again work on <b>Lashing Skills</b> continuing with <b>Square Lashing </b>– review <i>Boy Scout Handbook </i>pages 392-400. We will also be prepping equipment for the Durland Camping trip. (see below)</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Troop 37 had  another good field trip today with Maritime Day at the NY Container Terminal.  The Scouts learned about international trade, the Port of New York, containers and container ships, and the Maritime Industry.</p>
<p>The President of <span style="color: #0000ff;"><a href="http://www.nycterminal.com/t3/index.php?id=106"><span style="color: #0000ff;">NY Container Terminal</span></a></span>, Jim Devine, a scout as a youth talked to the Scouts and Todd Stevens General Manager (Eagle Scout) was our tour guide for the entire event he gave a real nice tour.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you are attending the 2013 Maritime Tour of the New York Container Terminal On Thursday March 28.</p>
<p>We will meet at <span style="color: #0000ff;"><strong>9:30 am in the parking lot of the New York Container Terminal at 300 Western Avenue, Staten Island, NY</strong></span> and will enter together as a group at 9:50 am.</p>
<p>We have a rather sizable group attending in addition to Troop 37 so I ask for everyone to arrive promptly so that we may get started on time.</p>
<p><b><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Please Note</span></b>:</p>
<ul>
<li type="disc">Class A&#8221; Uniform with<span style="color: #ff0000;"> neckerchief is required</span>.</li>
<li type="disc"><span style="color: #ff0000;">Must wear closed toed shoes, sneakers,or boots must be tied, no hanging laces</span>.</li>
<li type="disc">Tour is for Scouts only no siblings please (Adults may accompany)</li>
<li type="disc">Meet in the Parking lot at 9:30 AM Sharp.</li>
