Friday, March 28th – Regular Troop Meeting – Camping Expo Prep

This Friday we will be having a Regular Troop meeting.  We will be having a preparing for the Camping Expo the Troop will be conducting on Saturday, March 29th from 10a to 2pm, for the Girl Scouts.

The scouts will running and teaching camping skills such as Tent setup and scuttle, Knots, Cooking, Cleanup, Fire Station.

All scouts are to be in Class A uniform and have their handbooks.

Eagle Project Notification – April 5th:

Chris Gundacker will be conducting his Eagle Project on Saturday, April 5th, beginning at 8:45AM at the corners of Hueguenot Avenue and Chester Avenue, Staten Island. Friday, March 21st – Forestburg Camping Trip

This Friday we will be mustering at the shed no later than 4:30pm for our Forestburg Camping Trip.

All scouts are to be in Class B T-shirts and have a full water bottle on their person (Not in their bags).

Forestburg Packing:

  • Soft duffel bag for clothes
  • Warm clothes (an extra days worth of clothes, plan for getting wet) No shorts allowed.
  • Hat/Gloves/Jacket
  • Sleeping bag
  • Boots (Waterproof preferred), a few extra pairs of socks and a second pair of shoes
  • Full Water Bottle / Drinking Cup / Fork, Spoon and Knife (There will be no utensils provided by Troop or Organizers)
  • Sandwich and Drink for Friday evening dinner
  • Football (if you have one)

Friday, March 14th – Webelos Crossover

This Friday we will be conducting the Webelos Crossover.  All scouts are to be in Class A uniform.

The Forestburg Camping Trip is not cancelled at the end of March. If you have not paid you may do so at this meeting. Please insure you bring in your signed permission slips (Click here to download) and $30 payment for Forestburg Scout Reservation Camping trip.

Friday, March 7th – Regular Troop Meeting/Ski Trip

This Friday we will be having our regular Troop meeting for those scouts not attending the Family Ski Trip.

Those attending the Ski Trip are to meet at the shed by 4:30pm.

Scouts are to be in Class A uniform and have their handbooks with them.

We will not be cancelling the Forestburg Camping Trip at the end of March, so this meeting is the cutoff for permission slips (Click here to Downloadand $30 payment for Forestburg Scout Reservation Camping trip.

Friday, Feb 28th – Winterblast Camping Trip

This Friday we will be leaving for the Winterblast camping trip @ Ten Mile River.

We will muster at the shed no later than 4:30pm.  Our drive is approximately 2.5 Hours so be sure you are not late.

All scouts attending should have the following items:

  • Soft duffel bag for clothes
  • Warm clothes (an extra days worth of clothes, plan for getting wet) No shorts allowed.
  • Snow pants (recommended)
  • Hat/Gloves/Jacket
  • Sleeping bag
  • Boots (Waterproof preferred), a few extra pairs of socks and a second pair of shoes
  • Full Water Bottle / Drinking Cup / Fork, Spoon and Knife (There will be no utensils provided by Troop or Organizers)
  • Sandwich and Drink for Friday evening dinner
  • Football (if you have one)

Leaders are expected to assist with Stations and Meal Times.

March 2nd Palm Burning is cancelled due to insufficient notice to Parish to bring palms to this coming Sunday masses.

March 7th meeting will be a regular Troop meeting and is the cutoff for permission slips and $30 payment for Forestburgh Scout Reservation Camping trip.

March 7th – 9th Ski Trip Details: Any questions, please contact Mr. Gutierrez

  1. You are scheduled to stay in B Lodge.  There are enough mattresses to sleep up to 44 people in this space. It is up to you to determine where everyone will sleep. There are 2 bathrooms (each wing of this lodge has a bathroom), each with 3 toilets, 3 sinks and 2 showers.
  2. Linens, towels and toiletries are not provided.  Most people bring sleeping bags, but bedrolls are fine, too. Food is not permitted in the cabins.  
  3. The spaghetti dinner that is  included in this special Boy Scout ‘Stay at PEEC’ package will be served on Saturday at 6:00 pm giving you ample time to finish skiing by 5:00 pm, drive back to PEEC and change into dry clothes!  A campfire is scheduled after the supper.
  4. The breakfast snacks will be available between 7:30-8:00 am on Saturday and Sunday.  Cabin inspection will be held before you get your snack on Sunday.  Cabins need to be emptied, swept and trash removed before inspection.

Friday, Feb 21st – Regular Troop Meeting

This Friday we will be having a Regular Troop Meeting.  All scouts should be in Class A uniform. We will be in Class A Uniform.

HMSR Summer Camp Reservation:  If your scout wishes to attend Hawk Mountain Summer Camp this is the last meeting to submit the $65 required to secure the campsites for the Troop. 

Winter Blast at TMR will be next week’s trip.  All scouts who signed up must have the following:

  • Soft duffel bag for clothes
  • Sleeping bag
  • Hat/Gloves/Jacket
  • Warm      clothes (plan for wet clothes)
  • Boots(waterproof preferred), a few extra pairs of socks and a second pair of shoes
  • Full Water      Bottle / Drinking Cup / Fork,Spoon and Knife (There will be no utensils provided by Troop or Organizers)

Group 1 Snow Patrol Duty – Fedorschak Home

 Group 1, Rattlesnakes Patrol, is up for snow patrol duty tomorrow @ 10 am @ Mrs. Fedorschak’s Home.

The driveway still needs to be cleared as Mrs. Fedorschak has an appointment to attend on Tuesday and the plows have left a large pile of snow behind, besides what didn’t get cleared from the previous visits. 

 Please be there by 10 am with your shovel to help clear the snow. I will meet you there.
